John Budensiek (pronounced: BOO-den-seek)
John Budensiek is a career Law Enforcement Officer who has served the citizens of Martin County his entire adult life. Budensiek’s career began at the age of 19 when he was hired at the Martin County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy in the Uniform Road Patrol Division.
Over his 27 years of service at MCSO, John Budensiek has served in every supervisory rank within the organization: Road Patrol Deputy, Special Investigations Detective, Sergeant of Special Investigations, Lieutenant of the Special Investigation Division (including SWAT, narcotics, marine, K9, and aviation), Captain of both the Uniform Road Patrol Division and Special Investigations Division, Major of the Department of Law Enforcement, and currently as the Chief Deputy (Undersheriff) for Sheriff William Snyder.
In addition to his nearly three decades of service within the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, John Budensiek holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Florida Sheriff’s Association Commanders Academy, and Leadership Martin County, Class 30.
John Budensiek grew up in Hobe Sound and is a lifelong resident of Martin County. Budensiek’s priorities are his family and faith along with being an active member in his local church. Some of his hobbies include motocross, surfing, basketball, softball, and weightlifting.
John has been married to Ada, his high school sweetheart, for 24 years. They reside in Hobe Sound with their four children.
